The machine was imported from Minnesota, because Honda never launched this
models to the European market. The owner of a local dealer tipped me on this bike.
When I saw it I fell for the motor straight away. It had only run 10,000 miles and
it was in new condition. I bought it without hesitation and so far it's the best machine
I've ever had. I covered another 25,000 miles since 1992 and I didn't have any major
problems. The only items of non-wearing parts which needed replacement were the
tachometer cable, oil seals of crankshaft (right side) and front suspension. Not
more than that. I have been to England, France, Germany, Tsjech Republic, etc. with
my friends during our 5 day spring break. I feel very comfortable on the bike. I can
use it for nice touring with my girlfriend and sometimes more sportier rides with my
friends. Also for duo passenger it is a very comfortable bike. Once I drove from
South France back to Holland in one day, which was 1100KM (700 miles). Probably I am
also the only guy in Holland with a CB1000C.

"I've had the bike for about a year now. The only things I've done are jet the carbs and replace the rotor. The bike is in excellent condition, showroom clean. I'm currently looking for a 4 into 2 exhaust system for more performance. I'm extremely happy with the bike, and am constantly receiving compliments on it's appearance."

...when it was purchased, it was brown (or, as Kurt Vonnegut would say, "babyshit brown"); it's since been painted red. The bike had been sitting in some garage for more than ten years when it was purchased. Haven't had many probs with it; replaced an old brake cable, replaced the ignition switch. New tires. (Replaced the entire lefthand-side exhaust after the bike fell over (still not sure how that happened, I think it was pushed!) but that falls under "act of god," and not a technical problem. ;) Very smooth ride, great highway performance, very enjoyable. Very powerful, it seems to me. Overall, it is a very attractive bike (little kids and police officers wave at me on nearly a daily basis.) I'll try to get a side-shot of it sometime in the future. 'Bout fifteen thousand miles on it, about 5K of those mine.
Great bike!

"Here's my bike folks. It's only the second bike I've ridden (learned on a Nighthawk 250), and I love it! This thing really hauls when you need it too, but is an absolute pleasure to ride all day. I plan on adding driving lights to it, and some saddlebags for touring, but that's about it. If I can find a nice fairing, I might add that. "

My wife and I have been together for almost 20 years. My first motorcycle was a 1979 Honda CM 400T. Got it when I was 18, and owned it for 7 years.
My wife enjoyed riding it. Then we had kids..........I sold the bike and have wanted a "new" one ever since.
During Feb. '01, I informed my wife I wanted another motorcycle, she said "NO". So, after 20 years together, I decided who calls the shots........I
found this little gem of a bike. Needless to say I didn't really know what I
was buying. A 1983 CB1000 Custom!!!! Clean with 23,000 miles. She enjoys
it
too.
These CB900C are great bikes. I have a 650 Nighthawk and a Goldwing but
the 900C is still my favorite. Check out my CB900 photo gallery: http://www.pbase.com/honda/cb900

Here's another cb1000c for ya fella's. I bought the bike for $300 from a newly married cousin-in-law. The bike sat for a couple of years in a barn. After a winter of chrome scrubbing and numerous repairs and cleanings, I finally got it back together. It's got 9900 miles on it and had the original dunlops on it. I replaced them with Bridgestones, and I must say I'm impressed with the whole bike. If anyone has any bike evaluations on this bike please send them to me. Thank you!

"I purchased a 1980 CB900 custom still in the crate new in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I remember ordering it from the dealer and I had asked for a blue model however when I went to pick it up it was a maroon model. The dealer apologized, and just said to me that it was the last one for sale in Alberta, did I still want it? well it may have just been a sales pitch to a younger, naive me but I couldn't say no, I had to have it. This would have been in the spring of that year, I just loved the new styling that came out and it was the first CB900 model year introduced here, I probably don't have to tell you what a great bike it was and still is. I had a great summer with it, not only in town but took it on tour as well, had the time of my life. the sad part is late that summer it was stolen and of course not recovered. since the season was practically over I did not replace it, a big mistake in retrospect. as chance would have it, I more or less met my wife at that time and as these things go had a change in focus, got married, went to college, pursued a career, house and family. I, like some people heard about mid-life crisis and hearing about is nothing like living through it. I had almost given up the thought/need of being able to have a bike again. It was last July when we were on a family camping vacation on beautiful georgian bay when the local town of parry sound was having its annual thunder run, well needless to say my blood started to move again. it was then that I actually came to realize that 20 years have gone by. I wondered to myself how many of these bikes would still be around? I decided I wanted my bike back more than ever, the same year, same model and same color. I started to check out the local mags called all the dealers, no luck, I did this for a few months and was beginning to despair, things started to turn around when I discovered cycletrader on the internet. I was relieved to find at least a couple of bikes listed there. Initially there was one in Texas and one in California, both a very long way from here but I was considering the possibilities. Fortunately a unit came up for sale in Minnesota (a long weekend trip), spoke to the owner and decided to take my chances. I couldn't risk not finding another bike like it any longer, I jump in the family van with a borrowed trailer in tow, Minnesota or bust. It may sound a bit crazy (at least it did to a lot of others at the time) but I didn't care, I went for what I wanted and now I have the satisfaction of seeing "my" bike every day, it's not in showroom condition, but I think it's pretty good, it's all there and with some TLC it will only get better."

Here's some pictures of my 1982 Honda CB900F Super Sport. I've had it for two years and it now has 31K on the odometer. This bike runs great and it's a really powerful machine. I've had no down time with this bike at all. Honda was really ahead of it's time in 1982, with 16 valves and dual overhead cam engine. The bike has a Rifle fairing, a Corbin seat, KG Engineering back rest and chrome engine guards (J.C.Whitney). Got my first Honda in 1965, a Honda 305 Scrambler and I've been a Honda lover ever since.
